Interactive Laser from Tokyo

(via)

from Daito Manabe who has a lot of amazing stuff on his site – including The Face-Twitching Guy, from last year, for it is he. I like this guy.

That maze-finding thing at the end of the video is pretty impressive – reminds me a bit of the uber-fast robot hands from a couple of days ago.

That’s something that I never figured on – that robots would be able to scale along the speed axis. Weapons-wise they’re going to leave us in the dust. But imagine one of those robot-surgeons operating at speeds so fast that we can’t keep up with them. They’d be able to finish an operation before you had time to bleed.

An ode to Cognitive Surplus.

A celebration of the inventive backwaters of the human spirit... a celebration of people who would appear to have far too much time on their hands...

A celebration of laterality.

If you come they will build it.
