Following on from The Toy Phase, The Weapons Phase and Happiness is a Warm Meme (which was actually about replica movie-weapons), comes this:

An Alien Gun, for killing Aliens of the type that turned up the movie, Aliens, and they’re the worst kind. Naturally, a photographic build-history is supplied on the site from wence this thing sprang, which seems to specialise in making the weapons from Sci-Fi films.
Toys as Weapons, Weapons as toys etc. Blurrier and blurrier.

This naturally (sortof) segues into this:

Where someone has designed and actually built their own spaceship, though I don’t think it actually goes.

Still, at least it’s kindof physical, and looks incredibly cool… something that NASA failed to achieve recently when it released a series of “future-vehicle” concepts…

… which to me look for all the world like paleo-futuristic-visions from the 1950s.

I haven’t written about paleo-futurism yet… but I will, I will.
