I heard about flywheel cars about… 30 years ago. Looks like the batteries are actually happening though

They go on about them being safe… and I guess in some ways they are… until one escapes, and lets all the other ones out and then you’ve got about 20 steamrollers going at about a million miles an hour flying off in all directions.

Looks like portable ones are doable as well
