<p>Making 3D objects from 2D surfaces is something I keep coming back to &#8211; this is (in parts) going back the other way and making a 2D surface from something that starts as a 3D object.</p>
<p><object width="620" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/RNo_PMBPlaA&#038;color1=0xb1b1b1&#038;color2=0xcfcfcf&#038;hl=en&#038;feature=player_embedded&#038;fs=1&#038;showinfo=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/RNo_PMBPlaA&#038;color1=0xb1b1b1&#038;color2=0xcfcfcf&#038;hl=en&#038;feature=player_embedded&#038;fs=1&#038;showinfo=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="620" height="344"></embed></object></p>
<p><a href="http://fashionnerd.com/">from FashionNerd</a>&#8230; a whole blog devoted to this stuff. I think textiles are kindof under-represented on the tech front. There&#8217;s a lot more we could be doing with them I think.</p>

<p>My Dad used to work with this kid who&#8217;s &#8220;thing&#8221; was to tie every single thing in a room to every other thing with long pieces of string. You&#8217;d leave him alone, come back and there would be all this string spanning the room&#8230; connecting everything and keeping everything in place. If you tried to move any of it he&#8217;d have a conniption.</p>
<p>The thing above is a similar sort of thing I think, except done by crazy people.</p>
<p>Ok &#8211; not a crazy person. <a href="http://www.juliasherman.com">Julie Sherman</a>. Artist. Brilliant.,</p>
